First Sight

Posted on September 3, 2008

Tradition says that it’s bad luck for the groom to see his bride before she walks down the aisle for the first time. (Your mom might say the same thing.) Screaming Light says you’re the bride. That means that this choice is ultimately up to you. And there are a few good reasons to consider seeing each other before the ceremony.

The major one is time. If you get all of your formal photographs out of the way before the ceremony, you can go directly to your reception, which means your guests aren’t sitting around demolishing the aperitifs and waiting for you. Shooting the formals first also means that everyone is fresh and looking their best. Your makeup hasn’t smudged, and his tux is still crisply pressed.

If you decide that First Sight is the right choice for you, Screaming Light will capture the look on his face the first time he sees you. We’ll set up a time and place for the first sight, photograph it, and give you a few minutes to talk alone. (This may be the only time alone the two of you get all day.)

The look on his face when he sees you at the top of the aisle will still be timeless. We promise.

Exclusive Photography. Screaming Light.
