Quick Update
Posted on April 22, 2009
This is just a quick update to let everyone know what’s been going on (and to explain the resounding silence in blog-land for the last few weeks)!
Since we shot the OpLove event earlier this month, Roz and I have been busier than usual with sessions and last-minute client meetings. We’re also editing all 80-odd sessions we shot that weekend (a blog post is in the works, I promise!) On Saturday, we did a seriously kickin’ wedding in El Paso, with Scott and Valarie (thanks again guys). On Sunday, it was two sessions – Maria and Genaro’s engagements in Ruidoso, followed by an OpLove session in El Paso with Erin, Jamie, and their kids.
After the session in El Paso, Roz and I were debating dinner. After Roz picked out a Thai restaurant in a not-so-great area of town, and the ensuing discussion about why we didn’t really want Thai that badly, Roz decided she wasn’t feeling so hot, and we elected to drive back towards Las Cruces, and find dinner there. By the time we got to I-25, a minor upset stomach had turned into major shooting pains. We headed straight to the Emergency Room at Memorial. About 3 hours later, the doctor saw Roz. About 3am, she finally got some pain meds. She was admitted around 5am, to have her gallbladder removed.
The surgery took place yesterday, Tuesday the 21st. Roz came home this afternoon. She’s spending most of her time sleeping, in between fielding calls from well-wishers. She’s going to be out of commission for this weekend’s weddings; Marie will be taking her place, and on Friday, Shane will be tagging along to help out. Roz is taking some time off to get her strength back, but will be editing and posting all of these sessions as her health allows. Look for the first updates towards the beginning of next week!

Oh wow! Roz, my prayers are with you both. I've been there with the gall-bladder thing! Mine wasn't as sudden however, i had a year's worth of attacks before they finally decided to remove the hideous thing! I've been totally fine since then..no more attacks. That was 10 years ago. Anyway…rest. Take it easy. Don't push yourself, or it will be a longer recovery!
Hoping Roz gets better soon!!!
