Ryan: Out on the Town
Posted on March 21, 2009
Today was our second session with Mesilla Valley Christian Senior Rep Ryan. We got out of the studio to photograph his bright-blue Dodge RAM, his weimaraner Skinner, and a few more guitar shots. Along the way, we hit one of our favorite mountain spots, some awesome urban grunge, and some of the adobe and wooden doors that define Las Cruces. Roz and I both came back from the 3-hour session with nice sun burns, but we think the images were totally worth it! Ryan’s sister Jessica was in town on spring break; she came along to help wrangle Skinner and make sure Ryan was looking his best.
Our first set of images were in front of the Organs. The grass looks great; what you can’t see is all the stickers in it! Ryan, Roz, Jessica, and I were all pulling them out of our shoes and pants. Poor Skinner was having real troubles with them, but he soldiered through, and we got some great shots of him sitting in Ryan’s lap. After we shot a few with his acoustic guitar, and a few more sitting on the hood of the truck, we took a break and headed over to Sam’s Club for sodas, pizza, and churros. It was 90+ degrees in town today, and we were feeling it.
Our next stop was downtown, where we shot some great urban images and a few with Ryan’s electric guitar. We also hit a few of the adobe walls and weathered doors in the area.
Since he’s a senior rep, Ryan received today’s session for free, and will receive 20% off his print order. He’ll also get free senior rep cards to hand out to his friends. We’re still looking for senior reps for all Cruces-area high schools; if you’re in the class of 2010, and need senior portraits, give us a call!

Wow, these are great! I’m so jealous of the mountains in the background and the great wooden doors…not many of either of those here in Milwaukee!
