Hernandez-Price Wedding

Oh my, what a special treat this wedding was! This was our first Native American wedding/ceremony, and we could not have been more honored to have photographed it. Armida and Elias came to see us and to discuss the particulars of their ceremony, and the more they described it, the more excited we were. Elias had to get special permission from the Tribal Council for us to photograph the Native American parts of the day, and thankfully, they consented.
The wedding is done, and now we’re working on their custom wedding album. We couldn’t wait to sink our teeth into this book! It’s still in the works of course, but we just had to share some of the pages with you, so here’s a sneak peek at what we’re planning for their album.
Isn’t that beautiful? We really are looking forward to the work on this book; the special elements and tribal ceremonies just made this day amazing for everyone!

LaRae and Robert
Posted on May 23, 2008
We recently had the privilege to photograph the Estrada-Navarette wedding, and what an affair it was! We started out at the Fixx salon with LaRae, where she and her bridesmaids and family were having their hair done. The salon was so stylish! Red walls and zebra print everywhere! We had a great time, and the stylists did an amazing job on everyone!
While I was at the salon photographing the ladies getting ready, Jason headed over to the grooms house, and had a blast! Robert has a full bar in his garage, and a really awesome Harley Davidson Motorcycle that he considers his “baby”. There are some really fabulous photos of Robert on the bike, and of all the guys at the bar, neon lights blazing!
Here’s a sneak peak at some of their pictures from the day!
I couldn’t believe how many people there were at this wedding! There were at least 500 people at the church, and at least 800 at the reception, which was at Dickersons Barn. I have to tell you, I’ve been to that barn when it wasn’t decorated for a wedding, and the Estrada family did an absolutely fantastic job on the place! It was completely transformed! In fact, it was so amazing, that the Las Cruces Sun News showed up to photograph it for an article they were doing on weddings! There wasn’t a single detail missed!
There were mariachis, and all sorts of traditional hispanic dances done, and each one was a unique photo opportunity! The cake was beautiful, and LaRae and Robert looked so happy! We wish both of them the best!
